The Grand Haven Area Public Schools are committed to the expectation that all students will learn. It is our obligation to provide each student in our community a positive environment for learning so they will experience success and realize their fullest potential. This school district accepts the responsibility to work in partnership with the community to provide an excellent education that will prepare all learners for the challenges of a changing global society. Grand Haven Area Public Schools is fortunate to have excellent teaching and support staff. Districts are required by No Child Left Behind to have highly-qualified teachers - defined as having: a minimum of a bachelor’s degree; full state certification or licensure; and demonstrating competence in the core academic subject that they teach. One hundred percent of our teaching staff is highly qualified. In addition to the educational staff, the district also has an equal number of dedicated employees in the school lunch, transportation, and maintenance programs -- as well as in other areas -- who provide support services for the efficient operation of all school programs.
